Acclaimed experimental filmmaker William E. Jones presents a selection of his recent videos, which address issues
of power, visuality and queer desire through the recontextualization of found images ranging from gay porn to police
surveillance films.
The series is supported by funds from the College of Arts and Sciences, the departments of English, Transmedia, African
American Studies, and Communication & Rhetorical Studies, the Visual Arts and Cultures Cluster of the CNY Humanities
Corridor (funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation), and the Experimental Television Center¹s Presentation Funds Program
(supported by the New York State Council on the Arts).
